Nocturnal House Nr Leeds
We have recently completed the Nocturnal House project at Lotherton Hall, an Edwardian country estate, hall and wildlife park on the outskirts of Leeds.
The work consisted of LED lighting that changes the body clock of nocturnal animals so they can be viewed during daylight hours. With the lighting we can simulate sunrise and sunset and also daylight. Red light is used for the public to view the animals as the animals cannot make out the red light but it is good enough for us to view them.
The animals in the Nocturnal House are –
