Working with businesses of all sizes a well as domestic customers, we provide bespoke renewable energy solutions that reduce your reliance on commercial energy suppliers, cut the cost of your energy bills and your impact on the environment. Renewable energy is clean energy, helping to secure the future of the planet for generations to come.
Solar Photovoltaic Panels
Solar photovoltaic panels are a highly efficient means of generating electricity for domestic use from the sun’s rays.
Qudos are experts in the design and installation for both commercial and domestic clients, from smaller systems on domestic properties through to larger systems on commercial buildings and solar farms.
We design, build and install systems that are bespoke to your needs ensuring you get the maximum benefit. Our expert engineers work with you every step of the way to provide a service that is second-to-none.
Our installations not only reduce your energy consumption, but also create a source of income for you.
We offer a free energy survey that will identify any problems and then provide a solution that is appropriate to your building’s individual circumstances. Contact us here to arrange an initial discussion.
Solar Battery Storage
To improve your move towards energy independence, installing solar batteries will let you store power for when you really need it.
Adding battery storage to your solar panels will minimise your reliance on the power grid, and reduce the cost of electricity from an external supplier.
During the day solar panels usually generate more power than an average household or business uses, so any excess power will be diverted to the battery for use later. When there is no sun, or if you use more energy than your panels provide, the battery will kick in to give you power and prevent drawing energy from the grid.
There are many different batteries available, with different storage capacity and costs. We will be able to advise you on the best one for your property and usage.
Here at Qudos Group, we can offer you the installation and testing of EV charge points in your workplace premises, with options for both overground and underground car parks.
Our qualified electricians have passed the Electric Vehicle Charging Course (City & Guilds 2919-01) and are registered with an EV charge point main dealer, which means we can provide the work required.
Grant funding is available through the Electric Vehicle Home charge Grant (EVHS) or Workplace Charging Grant (WCS). This will have to be authorised by OLEV (The Office for Low Emission Vehicles) before any charge points are installed.
So, with Grant Funding, the costs are a lot lower.
Call us today to book an appointment for a free site survey; upon confirmation of what your requirements are we will arrange the government grant.
• The contribution is limited to 75% of purchase and installation costs, up to a maximum of £500 for each socket, up to a maximum of 20 across all sites for each applicant- Workplace
• The Electric Vehicle Home Charge Scheme (EVHS) provides grant funding of up to 75% towards the cost of installing electric vehicle charge points at domestic properties across the UK.
Heat Source Pumps
Heat pumps convert cold air from outside into warm air that heats homes more efficiently than gas or oil. They also work if the temperature is below freezing outside. Air source heat pumps are ideal for radiators and underfloor heating and provide a constant supply of heat and hot water. Ideal for replacing your gas or oil system in any size of building.
The Domestic Renewable Heat Incentive (Domestic RHI) is a government financial incentive to promote the use of renewable heat. Switching to heating systems that use eligible energy sources can help the UK reduce its carbon emissions and meet its renewable energy targets.
Biomass boilers are similar to conventional gas boilers, providing you with space heating and hot water for your entire home, but instead of using gas or oil to produce the heat, they combust sustainably sourced wood pellets.
Using wood pellets in place of fossil fuels helps to prevent long-term climate change since the carbon dioxide released during combustion was absorbed while the tree was growing, so they are essentially carbon neutral.
Residential Biomass boilers can run on logs or wood chippings so if you have a ready supply of these you can heat your home very cheaply. They are larger than gas or oil boilers due to the volume of wood required to produce equivalent heat. They will need emptying of ash, and you will need somewhere to store the fuel to ensure a continuous heat and hot water supply.
